Bigshot Toyworks recently joined the Behance Network, and within just a few days our work on Bertie The Pipebomb was featured on the front page!

Thanks so much to the flood of people who gave us a “thumbs up” on Behance, and to the editors for selecting that project to feature. The tremendous amount of work in development, design, and project management that we put in to that project continues bring us more fans and clients, and we’re absolutely thrilled to continue offering that level of service to anyone in need of our expertise.

Unavoidable production delays put this project on the back-burner for a while, but they are FINALLY HERE!!

The “Coney” plush is based on artwork by Brian Taylor, better known as “Candykiller“. One of the best character designers out there, Brian’s work is a stellar blend of old-timey cartoons with a modern edge. It was a challenge to develop a plush figure that did his work justice, but we believe we’ve finally done it.

The Coney stands 14″ tall, and has a weighted base. That’s right, it’s a free-standing plush figure. He’s also got burly arms, a cigarette dangling from his snarling lips, tattoos, and a bad attitude.

Made of high-quality canvas, the artwork is silk-screened. And awesome. Both color and mono versions will be available. Color version is limited to 250 pieces, and Mono is limited to 50 pieces. The Mono version will ONLY be available through the upcoming Bigshot Toyworks Factory Store! In addition, the Bigshot Factory Store version of each plush will include an exclusive, limited edition letterpress print, signed and numbered by the artist!

The Coney Cloud is 14″ in diameter, made of a super-soft velveteen, and the artwork is fully embroidered on both sides! It’s going to be your bestest nap-time buddy, just so long as it doesn’t beat you up and run off with your sister. Limited to 250 pieces, 100 pieces will be available from the Bigshot Toyworks Factory Store with an exclusive letterpress print, signed and numbered by the artist.

Coming very, very soon!! For wholesale inquires, please contact DKE Toys.

Vs. YOU by Munich-based artist & graff writer Shawn/THESIGNER/Flatau is a 4″ resin statue with an uber-high-gloss finish and a perfect wooden slide-top box.

This edition of only 288 pieces worldwide is a pretty excellent collectible and we had an great time making Flatau’s vision a reality with this piece. Bigshot Toyworks handled full production of the figure and packaging.

Bigshot Toyworks contributed character development and design, as well as digital modeling for the “Salty” character in this new ad for Knorr Sidekicks. The clip was animated by the fine folks at Sons & Daughters, directed by David Hicks, and commissioned by DDB Canada for Knorr. We’re thrilled to have been involved in such a quality project! As you can see, everyone’s hard work produced a truly quality spot for a happy client.

The StarCraft II “Raynor” figure will be the first in a new line of “n00bz”, a new series of customizable and collectible Blizzard Entertainment-inspired designer vinyl toys. Standing 6.25 inches tall, the Raynor is rocking his signature StarCraft II battlesuit, nine points of articulation, a BlizzCon ‘09 shoulder mark, Easter-egg Horde and Diablo III symbols, a four-color collector’s edition box, and an excellently huge Gauss rifle accessory.

The platform figure was conceived by Blizzard artist Julian Lefebvre, and developed and sculpted by Bigshot Toyworks for Blizzard Entertainment. The Raynor is the first figure in the “n00bz” series, and will only be available in this year’s goody bag! Three other production “n00bz” will be available for sale, as well as DIY blanks for customizing.

BlizzCon is a celebration of the WarCraft, StarCraft, and Diablo franchises and the communities that surround them. The two-day event features Q&A panels, social events, hands-on gameplay tournaments, and more. The event will take place Friday, August 21st and Saturday, August 22, 2009, at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.
