Bigshot Toyworks contributed character development and design, as well as digital modeling for the “Salty” character in this series of ads for Knorr Sidekicks. The clips were animated by the fine folks at Sons & Daughters, directed by David Hicks, and commissioned by DDB Canada for Knorr. We’re thrilled to have been involved in such a quality project! As you can see, everyone’s hard work produced a truly quality spot for a happy client.

Knorr was so happy with the response to the ad, they commissioned several more ads with the same characters:

Bigshot Toyworks also handled sculpting, development, and production for the actual salt & pepper shakers based on the characters. Three full production runs of the shakers sold out immediately upon release!

The StarCraft II “Raynor” figure was the first in a new line of “n00bz”, a new series of customizable and collectible Blizzard Entertainment-inspired designer vinyl toys. Standing 6.25 inches tall, the Raynor is rocking his signature StarCraft II battlesuit, nine points of articulation, a BlizzCon ‘09 shoulder mark, Easter-egg Horde and Diablo III symbols, a four-color collector’s edition box, and an excellently huge Gauss rifle accessory.

The platform figure was conceived by Blizzard artist Julian Lefebvre, and developed and sculpted by Bigshot Toyworks for Blizzard Entertainment. The Raynor is the first figure in the “n00bz” series, and was available only in the 2009 BlizzCon goody bag! Promax/BDA is the worldwide association of entertainment marketers, promoters and designers, representing more than 500 television stations and all major broadcast and cable networks from the U.S. as well as more than 3,000 individual members in 70 countries. The association provides members
with education, recognition and interaction through conferences, award competitions and publications as well as networking opportunities.
